Go back to classic cartoons like Tom & Jerry, and you have a basic premise for what’s involved in Chase the Cheddar slots. A Breakdown of the Paytable
The paytable in Chase the Cheddar has several colorful symbols and the payouts are generous. The Cat is a wild symbol that replaces all other symbols. Other symbols require three or more matching symbols across the reels in either direction.
- 9, 10, and Jack – 2, 5, and 20x
- Queen, King, and Ace – 3, 7, and 30x
- Mouse Trap – 6, 15, and 60x
- Dog – 10, 20, and 100x
The final symbol is a Mouse. It didn’t appear often for us, but it’s key to the free spins bonus round.
How the Free Spins Work
Whenever a Mouse appears on the reels, it’s added to a meter on the right side of the reels. Every third Mouse awards free spins. You get 3 free spins with 3 Mice, 6 free spins with 6 Mice, and 9 free spins with 9 Mice.
The Mouse and Cheese Bonus Feature
If you get a Mouse symbol on the reels at the same time as the Cheese symbols, you win the cash value shown on the Cheese.
How Much Did We Win?
We set it to the minimum bet of 20 cents and tested 10 spins on Chase the Cheddar.
- 1st spin – 21 cents
- 2nd spin – 33 cents
- 3rd spin – 7 cents
- 4th spin – 12 cents
Our experience started off hot but it quickly fizzled. At no point did we trigger a bonus feature. It was extremely uncommon for a Mouse to appear. After 50 spins, we’d only landed two Mice and never with Cheese symbols.
We kept playing to see if we’d ever trigger the free spins. After 30 minutes, we still hadn’t triggered a bonus feature. While Chase the Cheddar slots has multiple bonus features, it didn’t prove lucrative for us. It ended up being a bit of a dud.
